There is something big on the horizon at Luna Park Sydney with the Park's famous skyline forever changed. For the first time since the grand re-opening in 2004, Luna Park Sydney has introduced a new permanent attraction.

Just opened this past Boxing Day, the new attraction has pride of place as the park's tallest and
fastest attraction and will become the epicentre of the historic and famous portfolio of rides and
amusements that have been an integral part of Sydney for nearly 80 years.

Officially named "Hair Raiser", this all new, state of the art thrill seeker will provide Sydney with a whole new perspective of its famous city skyline. Situated on the edge of Sydney's harbour, those that are game enough to try it will be raised 50 meters above sea level for a bird's eye view of magical Sydney city before being unceremoniously dropped at a speed of 80 km's in less than a second back to earth via an edge of your seat, white knuckle experience.

The addition of the Hair Raiser to the Luna Park portfolio of entertainment and attractions will
further cement the Sydney summer tradition that is Luna Park. From the beats and fireworks that make New Year's Eve Harbour Party a must do, to the ultimate place to celebrate your Aussie pride on Australia day, Hair Raiser marks another reason why summer holidays at Luna Park, on the doorstep of the world's most famous harbour, present the best value and entertainment for all ages.

In addition to the new permanent attraction, Luna Park Sydney will continue its school holiday
tradition of introducing several extra attractions to appear for special holiday engagement. This
includes "Freak Out" – a sensational thrill ride experience that swings its riders up to 120 degrees while 21 meters in the air. Exclusive to Luna Park Sydney these summer holidays, it will mark the attraction's first appearance in Australia.
