Magna Home Entertainment is launching a classic collection of the much-loved Care Bears. This 7-disc product presents the Care Bears series in the early stages, the original 1980s series. With recent broadcast on Boomerang Channel, the series has warmed children's hearts all over the world for over 25 years and continues to enthrall fans both young and old.

Originally developed for greeting cards in 1981, the Care Bears were officially introduced to the public as plush teddy bears in 1982. The high popularity of the plush toys resulted In 3 feature films, 7 DTVs and 2 animated television series, along with other toys, games, puzzles and apparel. In time for the brand's 25th Anniversary in 2007, a new toy design, film, and series, Adventure in Care-a-Lot, were produced showcasing the Care Bears characters with a modern, revamped design. In Australia, the DVD franchise has reached retail sales of 320,000+ units with a total value of AUD$3.9 million. A new rang of Care Bear movies and series are currently in production leading up to the worldwide launch of the all-new Care Bears toy range by major toy manufacturer, Hasbro, in 2010.

Beautifully presented in a blue glitter box with a clear slipcase, Care Bears The Classic Collection features 60 episodes, including 11 never-before-released episodes, from the original 80s series and includes a bonus never-before-released CGI animated feature Care Bears Big Wish Movie.
