For many decades, Wile E. Coyote has been the victim of his own ill-fated schemes, with every mail-order gadget from the ACME Corporation failing spectacularly in his endless attempts to catch the elusive Road Runner.  After years of rockets, explosives, falling boulders, rocket-skates, fake tunnels and gravity-defying mishaps, Wile E. has finally had enough.  He's taking ACME to court.

His unlikely legal champion is Kevin Avery (Will Forte), a down-on-his-luck lawyer who takes on the case with the help of his determined young niece Paige (Lana Condor).  But standing in their way is Buddy Crane (John Cena), ACME's formidable corporate lawyer… and Kevin's former boss.  Can this mismatched team take on one of the world's most powerful corporations and finally get justice for Wile E. Coyote?

Combining live action with classic 2D animation in the tradition of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, COYOTE VS ACME is a warm-hearted, wildly inventive underdog comedy from producers James Gunn and Chris DeFaria.  And the film's own journey to the big screen proved almost as extraordinary as Wile E.'s adventures: after plans to shelve it as a tax write-off sparked an enormous fan outcry, the beloved Looney Tunes characters made a last-minute escape.
