Lake Mountain is Melbourne's closest Alpine Resort which provides family fun all year round.

In the winter Lake Mountain becomes a leading cross-country ski resort which provides the facilities to ski, toboggan, play, snow tubing, sled rides and snow shoeing. Staff at the resort run games and activities all throughout winter to ensure your kids are kept amused.

Skiing is the best way to see Lake Mountain and its surroundings with 37km of skiing trails from beginner to advance trails. If you've never skied or in fact seen snow- have no fear, Lake Mountain is known for there ski schools. The staff at the resort can also organise Tobogganing - which is always a family favourite and Snow Tubing which is perfect for families to have fun in the snow with, all that is needed is warm clothes and FUN!

Lake Mountain has just introduced Sled Rides- which is the newest way to see the mountain, in a motorised, easy and fun fashion. If you are not up for sports why not take a walk around the mountain through the snow or just play in the snow. You can make a snowman, have a snowball fight or even create your own snow angel.

The Visitor Centre at Lake Mountain provides the ability to hire ski equipment, purchase food and gifts. Lake Mountain also has a Heights Bar and Bistro which is fully licensed, you can satisfy your hunger and thirst after being out on the mountain all day.

Marysville is 21km from Lake Mountain, an area known for being perfect for summer or winner and for a romantic getaways with a beautiful village and relaxing day spa in town. Marysville is a region that has the ability to amaze and delight. In February, Marysville was destroyed by fires, in time they will be back to their beautiful state. Marysville is still perfect for a little trip away and the fires hasn't affected Lake Mountain.
