Question: What do you love about Australia?

Paige Hathaway: I love Australia; I feel so good here, I've just returned from Wollongong - such a funny name - such a beautiful place. I've spent a lot of time here in Sydney, it's been a good trip and I'll be spending some time in Melbourne and Brisbane (which I've never visited before). I'm lucky as I get to see a lot more of Australia, this time.

Question: What brings you to Australia, again?

Paige Hathaway: I'm here for a F45 Studio Tour which is really cool as I get to travel to different cities where I can do F45 workouts with owners and members or train a class. I've really enjoyed getting to know the F45 owners and their F45-ers.

Question: What do you love about F45 workouts?

Paige Hathaway: There is so much to love about F45 workouts especially that it makes working out, fun! Whenever you walk into F45 you get an amazing workout in just 45 minutes. I've been training at F45 now, for about seven months, and if I don't work-out as many times, as I'm used to, in a week, I feel off balance – I got off the plane here and the first thing I wanted to do was go to an F45 class!

Question: What does a typical week's workout schedule look like, for you?

Paige Hathaway: I do F45 three to four days a week as I travel a lot, that's what fits my schedule. If I'm home, I usually train at my local F45 four to five times, a week. I also still go to the gym for compound lifting including heavier squats, deadlifts and hit weight-lifting; I do that two to three times, a week. Right now, I work out at least five days, a week.

Question: How do you fit your work-outs in?

Paige Hathaway: It's crazy, yes, but the good thing about F45 is it's only a 45-minute workout which gives me no excuse to get there for a super quick workout. I always feel so much better after I've finished too.

Question: Why do you personally believe F45 was awarded the top gym in Australia for customer satisfaction?

Paige Hathaway: There are a lot of reasons but mainly what I see is that F45 prides itself on a community aspect; you build accountability within the F45 community. I have a local F45, in my home town and a big group of us, that are members, are in a group chat where we write -hey what class are you going to, today?' and build an accountability – which is the aspect I love most and think that's why so many others love F45, so much. The community and accountability is why F45 has grown, so much.

For me if everyone else is going to a class I think -I better go to that class too, if everybody else is going' (laughs)!

Question: Can you please share your top tips to keep us motivated as the cold-weather hits, in Australia?

Paige Hathaway: Personally I keep myself accountable with a motivational quote or photo on the background of my phone as we look at our phone, most of the daily, sadly; or this could be on your fridge or bathroom mirror. A motivational photo helps remind you of your goals, especially if you're feeling low energy. When I see a motivational photo I think -I'm going to go to the gym and I'm going to eat healthy'.

A tip for healthy eating is either pre-preparing your food or finding a meal-prep company that you can enlist to get meals, prepared for you, every week. If we have something healthy around us we're less likely to grab an unhealthy meal or snack. That's what keeps me on track – food prep! It's hard to eat well, when I travel, but when I do I try to stick with simple meals; if I go out to eat, I usually choose a meal like fish and vegetables with not a lot of sauces over a meal with a lot to it.

These are the two easy and main things I do, to ensure I'm keeping myself motivated and in shape.

Question: How is your life different from what is portrayed on social media?

Paige Hathaway: I like to think my life is exactly how you see it on social media; I'm pretty raw and real on social media – it's the same as I am, in real life; I actually get told that, often. When people meet me and get to know me, they often say -you look and act like how you do, online'. My personally, and my laugh, are exactly the same (laughs).

Question: What are your 2018 goals?

Paige Hathaway: I have been working extremely hard on building my own brand; I am building a supplements line, right now, with a skincare line. I've been working on both projects for about eight months now and this year, they will launch. I'm so very excited about that.

Question: What's a typical day like, for you?

Paige Hathaway: It varies, a lot. I always try to get my training in, daily and I usually try and knock that out, in the morning, so it's already done. I find if I leave working out until night and I'm tired from the day, I'll make excuses, it's so very easy to say 'I'm so tired, I'm not going to train".

The first thing I do, when I wake up is take my dogs out and as I walk out the door I usually grab a protein shake that I've made at home with good fats, fruit and plant-protein. After that, I'll head to the gym; when you get a workout in, first thing, it helps you make healthier decisions throughout the day as you're in the healthy-mentality.
My days are varied: some days I'll have photoshoots and I'm always creating content for my social media platforms or working on the companies or endorsements, I work with. Social media is a full time job, on its own. I am building the supplement company too, which takes a lot of my time. I have a lot of business work as I have a subscription website which I build content for, I provided my own diet and training tips – it's all real. I also run my Fit-in-Five challenge clients… I have a lot of stuff, on my plate, that I work on, every day! It's pretty crazy but I love it.
