The world's biggest one-on-one breakdancing competition – Red Bull BC One - is returning to Australia, with the Red Bull BC One Cypher Australia set to take place at Brisbane's Powerhouse on 24th August. The nation's top b-boys and b-girls will vie for the prestigious national breaking title and the chance to represent Australia on the world stage at the Red Bull BC One World Final in Tokyo, Japan on November 9, 2025.

Aspiring Breakers can sign up for the Red Bull BC One Cypher Brisbane taking place on Saturday 23 August, at Elements Collective Studio for a chance to compete at the National Final which will take place at Brisbane Powerhouse the following day.

Hosted by B-Boy Fongo and Wongo, this year's National Final promises to be a high-energy showcase of breaking talent. Representing the best-of-the-best, 16 B-boys and 8 B-girls will bring their A-game, delivering jaw-dropping powermoves, intricate toprock steps, footwork, freezes, and spectacular tricks.

This year's judging lineup includes international superstar, Kid David (Step Up 5, Battle of the Year, Lemonade Mouth) who will bring his expertise from Venice Beach direct to the Brisbane stage. Kid David will be joined at the judging table by WA legend, B-Boy Pepito and Melbourne's B-Girl Naru.

In addition to the breaking action, the event will showcase some of Australia's finest hip-hop talent, including Ipswich-born beatboxer Tom Thum, collaborating with the founders of Base 8 Studio and music production duo Rush Hour (RSHR), and DJ Bacon, with Melbourne beatmaker Sadiva rounding out a stellar music lineup.

The stakes are high, as just one b-boy and one b-girl will earn the chance to fly to Tokyo, Japan in November 2025 for the Red Bull BC One Last Chance Cypher. There, they'll compete against the best of the best for a coveted spot on the World Final stage.

Since 2004, Red Bull BC One has celebrated the best breakdancers on the planet, cementing its status as one of the world's premier breaking competitions. With over 70 events across 27 countries, the global series has become a key platform for showcasing top-tier talent.
