Say Cheese Festival

Say Cheese Festival

Say Cheese!

It's all cheesy grins at Prahran Market as the fifth Say Cheese Festival

Sunday 28th October is going to be a Gouda day for Melburnians! Prahran Market will be celebrating all things cheese with its 5th Say Cheese Festival and it's bigger and cheesier than ever! We are pretty Fondue cheese at Prahran Market so we have not stayed Stilton in planning what will Brie the ultimate cheese day.

It's going to be Grate with plenty of cheesy food to enjoy, including Melbourne's first Grilled Cheese Invitational, meet the cheese maker opportunities, tastings, demonstrations, fondue bar, Market trail, plenty of Instagram moments and even the chance to win cheese for a year.

This year, we've included some ticketed sessions: "Flights of Fancy" are short guided cheese pairings. But forget the Shiraz, we're giving you the chance to discover why cheese paired with tea, saké, beer or Prosecco are regarded by many as some of the best flavour matchings going.

Don't miss Melbourne's first Prahran Market Grilled Cheese Invitational, an invitation only grilledcheese- off between some of Melbourne's great Chefs, as judged by Karen Martini, Dan Stock and King of the Toastie Anthony Femia, and MC'd by Tobie Puttock. Those vying for the coveted inaugural Trophy include David Moyle (Longrain), Christy Tania (Glacé) alongside other amazing Melbourne talent and a wildcard entry!

Get inspired to express your own cheesiness at home with demonstrations in the Neil Perry Kitchen by Omega from the likes of Will Studd, Ryan Spurrell and Anthony Femia. All demonstrations will be MC'd by Tobie Puttock.

From specialist ranges at the Market's delicatessens to cheese inspired creations from eateries such as Maker & Monger and Wilson & Market, there will be something for everyone and visitors will not be able to resist.

But it gets Feta! The event is not just for the Mature, there will plenty of activities for the kids. And how about that year's worth of cheese? One lucky visitor to the Say Cheese Festival will win just that. So they need not get Blue about not having enough cheese for a whole year.

With so much to taste, do and see, you'd Cheddar get to the Market early!
