Hunter Valley Gardens just got a whole lot cooler as Snow Time in the Garden returns, transforming Hunter Valley Gardens into a magical winter wonderland right in time for the school holidays. Whether you want to see snow for the first time or are returning for more frosty fun, Snow Time is the perfect way to celebrate the chilly season right here in the beautiful Hunter Valley.
Opening on Saturday June 28th and running through to Sunday July 27th, this month-long spectacular is packed with real snow, ice skating, breathtaking display gardens, delicious food, and non-stop fun for families, friends and couples looking for a festive winter day out. Snow Time offers the ultimate snowy escape for those wanting a winter adventure without the long drive or high price tag of alpine resorts, all just two hours from Sydney and a short drive from Newcastle.
Rug up in your winter gear and explore the Snow Play Zone, where visitors can build a snowman, make snow angels, or simply take in the magic of the man-made snow. For those seeking a thrill, the 45-metre Giant Ice Toboggan offers an icy rush that is sure to excite. Step into the Ice-Skating Rink and show off your best twirls, or just wobble around, with fun guaranteed for skaters of all levels. All these winter activities are included in the price of an entry ticket, so visitors can enjoy a full day of fun without missing a moment. Ride tickets can be purchased at an additional fee from the rides booth in the event area.
For those who cannot get enough of the action, Snow Time in the Garden offers a range of rides that keep the fun going all day long. Take in sweeping views of the winter wonderland from the 25-metre-high Ferris Wheel or feel the rush as you race down the thrilling 35-metre Superslide. The much-loved Venetian Carousel and exciting Spinning Tea Cups are also back this year, promising hours of fun for everyone.
The adventurous Snow Time activities will be open daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Children can even meet and snap a photo with roaming Snow Time entertainment characters as they move around the event. Throughout the month, families can also enjoy daily performances from crowd favourite entertainers Little Scallywagz, and The Pretty Amazing Jono.
There are plenty of magical moments to be found beyond the snow with all 10 of the Gardens' stunning display gardens beautifully transformed into a winter wonderland during Snow Time. A visit to the much-loved Storybook Garden is a must, where larger-than-life nursery rhyme characters bring childhood memories and fairytales to life.
To keep the winter spirit going, a range of favourite seasonal food and beverages will be available throughout the gardens' many food stalls, including woodfire pizza, gözleme, and loaded potatoes. Guests needing to warm up after the action in the Snow Play Zone can enjoy sweet treats, like hot chocolates, waffles, and churros, or choose to stay frosty with a classic Sno Cone.
Hunter Valley Gardens' Marketing Manager, Kim Jacobs, says: "We're excited to bring back Snow Time in the Gardens for another year as the ultimate winter escape for everyone to enjoy.
