NSW Minister for Sport, The Hon. Stuart Ayres said the benefits of playing sport from a young age are infinite, especially when it comes to team-sports.

'In addition to the physical health benefits, playing a team-sport requires critical thinking, self-discipline and the ability to work in harmony with others. These are skills that go beyond the playing field, and programs such as Kids in the Park help to encourage these valuable life skills to young people in a safe, enjoyable and creative environment," said Minister Ayres.

Sydney's undisputed home of sports and leisure, Sydney Olympic Park is also renowned for its facilities in fields of science, sustainability, arts and education, with Kids in the Park spring 2017 to also launch the NEW Coding and Robotics Holiday Program. Designed to facilitate learning in using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths), the engaging activity will encourage kids aged 6-12 to try coding, robotics, origami, science experiements, mindfulness and plenty more.
