Winterbourne The Much Better National Tour

Winterbourne The Much Better National Tour

Winterbourne have launched into the new year with today's announcement of their first Australian live dates of 2019 and the release of their new single 'Take The Golden'.

The Much Better Tour will begin in Fremantle on Thursday April 4th before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane then winding up in Sydney on Saturday April 13th at The Factory. Tickets are available from the band's website.

Winterbourne wrote 'Take The Golden' in Berlin with producer and songwriter Tobias Kuhn.

"We had no real notion of the kind of song we wanted to create, and just set about coming up with ideas and putting the pieces together."

This is a song that pretty well sums up the band's state of mind at the time - their first time in Berlin, rain on the windows, a road trip from England to Germany and a visit to Dunkirk beach fresh in their minds.

"Our approach to this song was different from any other we've done, and it pretty quickly became one of our favourite songs we'd ever written."

'Take The Golden' and fellow single 'Better' will be available on Winterbourne's much awaited debut album which will be released this year.

Long-time friends and collaborators James Draper and Jordan Brady have honed their craft in the studio and on stage to deliver a debut album rich in swirling guitars, lush synths and soaring, catchy choruses.

The duo worked with musical dream team consisting of producer Andy Mak (Vera Blue, Boy & Bear), engineer Jackson Barclay (Timberwolf, Oh Mercy) and multi-instrumentalist Thom Mak recording the album over a six-month period.

Excited to be playing new songs on their first headline shows for the year, Winterbourne will be performing at the following shows across the country:
