Wolf Creek highest grossing R rated film in Australian history

Greg McLean's debut feature, WOLF CREEK, has become Australia's highest grossing R rated film, having surpassed the record previously held by Chopper, with a box office achievements of $5,970,770.

In Melbourne, Moonlight Cinema confirmed that their screening of Wolf Creek attracted their largest audience ever for an Australian film in the 11 years it has been running. More than 2,700 people packed the park adding Wolf Creek to the list of only a few sell out sessions, most of which are scheduled on Valentines Day.

In the US, the $1.38 million production has made over $15.8 million.Greg McLean, with Wolf Creek Producer David Lightfoot and Wolf Creek EP Matt Hearn, is currently filming Rogue in regional Victoria.
