Alex Perry Final Touches on Miranda Kerr

Madame Tussauds Sydney today revealed the first wax figure of Australian-born supermodel Miranda Kerr with a little help from premier couturier Alex Perry. The much-adored, internationally renowned supermodel, known for her outstanding beauty and inextricable charm, is finally here to stay in her home country.

To stay true to her modelling background, Kerr's wax figure was unveiled at Sydney's leading fashion photography studio; The Photo Studio in Broadway, with professional studio lighting and a wind machine. Wearing an Alex Perry designed scarlet red gown with a sequined bodice and red chiffon skirt that Kerr modelled at the David Jones Spring/Summer Fashion Parade in 2011, Perry made final touches to Kerr's figure as she struck a pose for the camera.

'Miranda is such a loving icon to work with; she radiates beauty inside and out. It's such an honour that she has chosen her wax figure to wear the scarlet red gown I designed for her. It looked absolutely gorgeous on her then and it still looks sensational on her now. I'm delighted that she has been selected by Madame Tussauds to be immortalised in wax – it's such an awesome opportunity for her fans to get up close to her and see how beautiful she really is" said fashion designer, Alex Perry upon seeing Miranda's wax figure.

Towering at her true height of 5'9", Kerr had over 500 measurements and photographs taken by the Madame Tussauds team to create the stunning wax figure, which took over four months to complete.

'We are thrilled that Miranda is joining our star-studded attraction. It goes without saying that she will be a massive hit at Madame Tussauds Sydney for both locals and international visitors alike. Given this is the first time a wax figure of Miranda has been made, you can imagine how curious everyone is to see how her beauty has been translated into wax. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed, it is spot on and the detail is just flawless" said Hywel Mathias, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Sydney.
