Eora / Sydney's beloved indie-rockers Jet City Sports Club announce they will embark on their debut Australian headline tour this June, set to hit the nation's three major cities on the east coast " Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Alongside their headline shows, the three-piece will support Old Mervs for a string of east coast shows throughout the month of May, playing stages across Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney and Canberra.
"We've spent a lot of time on the road and feel lucky to have played for so many amazing crowds along the east coast. But this one's a little different, it's our first time headlining. We'll be hitting Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne, and we're feeling grateful, a bit nervous, and so ready."
Lilla continues - "We're also very excited to be joining Old Mervs on the NSW leg of their album tour this May. We've played with the guys a few times now, and the crowds have always been some of the loveliest, most welcoming people… we honestly can't wait to see all your beautiful faces again."
Alongside the tour, Jet City Sports Club have announced what will be their first release of 2025; the shimmering new single titled 'In Morphine'. Set to arrive on Friday June 5th, 'In Morphine' captures a sense of loneliness, and yearning for connection in the midst of all the world's madness. It is, as described by the band themself, "about love and friendship reaching through the silence, across the miles, and how much we need each other, even when we don't say it out loud. Because in the end, love is what saves us from the loneliness."
With each and every track released reiterating their ability to elevate their craft at a spectacular and unrelenting pace, Jet City Sports Club yields nothing but classics in-the-making. Charming, stirring, recognisable and yet never predictable, their music has previously drawn comparisons to the likes of Snail Mail, Soccer Mommy, and The Beths. Seasoned wonders of the live scene, the band have performed alongside acts like Ruby Fields, The Temper Trap, Dear Seattle, DICE and more, with sets at Party In The Paddock, Rolling Sets, The Gum Ball and Lost Paradise under their belts as well, Jet City Sports Club are showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
