Lurker Coming to Cinemas November 27
The year's most compelling thriller, LURKER, will be available in Australian cinemas from 27 November, 2025. Directed and written by Emmy winner Alex Russell (The Bear, Beef) and starring Archie Madekwe (Saltburn, Midsommar) and Théodore Pellerin (Beau Is Afraid, Never Rarely Sometimes Always), with support from Sunny Suljic (The Killing Of A Sacred Deer, Mid90s), Havana Rose Liu (Bottoms) and comedian Zach Fox, the psychological drama explores the parasitic relationship between stars and their fans, offering a fresh take on modern fame, online fan culture, social status, and social disorder.

Receiving its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival where it garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews, the film follows Matthew (Pellerin) as he manages to infiltrate the inner circle of a rising pop star, Oliver (Madekwe), and glories in his new status as an indispensable member of the entourage. But when Matthew realises how easy he is to replace – or even worse, that he is not as important as he believed – he will go to any lengths to stay relevant to Oliver and his crew.

The film features original songs produced by Kenneth Blume (aka Kenny Beats) alongside collaborators including Dijon and Rex Orange County and performed by the film's star Archie Madekwe, with the official soundtrack now available to stream on all major platforms.
