Fresh from moving to Sydney Australia, indie-rockers PARK RD have returned today with the first taste of new music in 2026 with 'Burn Away'. Listen HERE.
'Burn Away' shows PARK RD at their high energy best, pushing the guitars right to the front, alongside the propulsive drums from Te Kapua Pene. The walls of guitars combine with frontman Tom Chamberlain's restrained vocal delivery to create an instantly memorable track, invoking memories of early Arctic Monkeys and contemporaries like The Rions and Wolf Alice.
To celebrate the release of the single, the band will play a free headline show in Sydney tomorrow Saturday 2 May at the Warren View Hotel as a part of the Great Southern Nights programme. They will then play a free show at Pleasure Club in Sydney on Thursday 14 May, before supporting San Cisco on Friday 15 May at Mona Vale Hotel and Pacific Avenue on Saturday 16 May at Wombarra Bowlo.
'Burn Away' joins recent singles 'The Way I Feel', 'English Boy' and 'Antidote' from their forthcoming to-be-announced sophomore album which highlights the band's continued evolution, sharpening their indie-rock sound while expanding their emotional range.
PARK RD are quickly cementing themselves as one to watch. Over the past couple of years they have supported The Rions across Australia, and undertaken headline tours in both Australia and New Zealand, performed at BIGSOUND and SXSW Sydney, and supported The Band CAMINO, Milky Chance and Spacey Jane in New Zealand.
