Super 8 Review

Cast: Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, Noah Emmerich, Ron Eldard, Frances McDormand
Director: J.J. Abrams
Genre: Mystery, Sci-Fi, Thriller

Synopsis: In 1979 command of the Air Forces of the USA has made decision to close a part of the Zone 51. All materials should be evacuated in confidential laboratory in Ohio. But there was a train wreck, and all confidential materials were lost. Only one car has escaped. And something desperately tries to get out of it. The friend? The enemy? Who there? Something very big and very wild. Obviously not the person and not an animal.

Verdict: I will firstly admit I am not a sci-fi movie fan, however Super 8 was nothing like I expected and I encourage even those who aren't normally interested in the science fiction genre to check it out because I guarantee audiences nation wide will be pleasantly surprised.

Super 8 is filled to the brim with exciting visual effects which promise an action packed and entertaining film. Elle Fanning and Joel Courtney shine in their leading roles as does Kyle Chandler as Deputy Jackson Lamb.

Super 8 is easily described as a mix between Aliens and Stand By Me; set in the 1970s Super 8 is not a period piece but a highly involved suspense filled thriller that will be enjoyed by all J.J. Abrams fans.
