Review:

The Deb is a vibrant, feel-good film that delivers heart, humour and a whole lot of charm. Set against the energy and chaos of a small-town debutante ball, the movie captures the excitement, awkwardness and emotional highs of coming-of-age in a way that feels both fresh and deeply relatable. The performances are a fun, fresh and creative, with a cast that brings warmth and authenticity to their roles, making each character easy to root for.

What really elevates The Deb is its balance of fun and substance. Beneath the glitter, music and laughs, the film explores themes of friendship, self-acceptance and the courage it takes to be yourself, especially when expectations feel overwhelming. It's uplifting without being clichéd, funny without forcing it, and heartfelt in all the right moments. By the end, The Deb leaves you smiling " a joyful celebration of youth, community and finding your own voice.

Has the makings of an Australian classic, and a trending "f*ck my life"
