Australia's favourite television show once again comes to life as MasterChef Live gives visitors thechance to 'plate up' with the country's top chefs.
"Australia has never seen so many hands-on cooking schools and interactive MasterClassdemonstrations in the one spot before," says Jill Dupleix, foodie guru and consultant to MasterChefLive. "It's not just a great day out - you actually get in there, hands-on, picking up new skills and newconfidence you can put to work at home," she adds.
Produced under licence from FremantleMedia Enterprises and now in its second year, this ultimatefoodie event will run from 7-9th October at the Royal Hall of Industries & Hordern Pavilion, MoorePark. The event will provide foodies the opportunity to cook, learn and shop while mingling with theirfavourite MasterChef chefs, judges and contestants.
The star line-up for MasterChef Live 2011 includes judges Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris; topchefs Peter Gilmore, Peter Kuravita, Kylie Kwong, Colin Fassnidge, Vincent Gadan and AdrianoZumbo, well known cook Anna Gare and more; as well as many of the MasterChef contestants.One of 2011's biggest star chefs Kylie Kwong is back for more. "It's such a great opportunity foreveryone to learn a bit more about kitchen techniques and to be inspired by things like fresh, local,organic produce," says Kylie Kwong.
The three day event will feature non-stop interactive MasterClasses, hands-on cooking schools, juniorworkshops, Q&As and top quality producers, not to mention the new Mystery Box Challenge Theatrestarring Gary, George, celebrity chefs and contestants.
All this for a new all-inclusive ticket price starting at $30 for adults. Visitors can learn tips and tricks,from complex sweet treats, to mastering a restaurant's signature dish for next Saturday night's dinnerparty. This melting pot of activity aims to make all attendees better cooks.
