Question: How would you describe Hillbilly Horror Show?

Rachel Faulkner: Hillbilly Horror Show is an hour long VOD that features short films from up and coming filmmakers. Bo, Cephus, and I, a.k.a. -Lulu' host the show and we have fun, goofy scenes in between each short film where we briefly talk about the film and also crack jokes with each other in a good -ol brother-sister cousin kind of way.

Question: What was the best part about filming the Hillbilly Horror Show?

Rachel Faulkner: The best part was traveling to a new location and getting to know the production company as well as the cast. Since there is a sketch comedy base to the show, we were able to throw in a little improv on camera and really play off each other's reactions. This made each take that much more enjoyable.

Question: What inspired you to take a leap into the acting world?

Rachel Faulkner: It wasn't until a fellow photographer friend, Rick Craft, recommended me to a nearby casting director, Henry Jaderlund, who put me on set as an extra for Wicked Attraction that things took off. Acting was never something I saw myself doing until I went on set and I saw the similarities between acting and modelling. Since modelling was an artistic outlet for me, it was -silent acting' in a sense, so as soon as I started practicing dialogue and submitting myself for roles, everything starting falling into place sooner than I had ever imagined.

Question: What inspired you about the Hillbilly Horror Show?

Rachel Faulkner: HHS inspired me because it gave me room to grow as an actress. We fully plan to continue to film volumes and I was also able to work alongside industry professionals that could help train me and point me in the right direction to work with people I could trust.

Question: What's it like working with Bo and Cephus?

Rachel Faulkner: Working with Bo and Cephus is much like working with two goofy older brothers. They have done nothing but look out for me, help promote me, and make me feel as comfortable as possible on set. Don't get me wrong; we had plenty of awkward moments on set, but since we all have a stable relationship with each other, we were able to quickly make jokes, laugh and move on to the next take.

Question: Is it hard for you to watch yourself on the screen?

Rachel Faulkner: Yes! Haha, it is still very surreal to ever consider myself an -actress' by any means. I have no formal training and I am a giant goofball, so when I see myself on the screen no matter how serious or goofy the role may be, I can't help but laugh.

Question: What's more difficult for you modelling or acting?

Rachel Faulkner: I wouldn't say one is more difficult than the other because each shares many challenges. I feel that I have more room to grow with acting, but I am also being booked more frequently for acting jobs, so in that sense it feels that I must be doing something right, or a better job at that than modelling. As a model, you have to constantly monitor your body image and stay in tip-top shape. I'm a commuter college student finishing my last semester to get my Bachelor's of Science and I drive more than 400 miles a week, so controlled, healthy eating habits and a scheduled exercise regime isn't always ideal.

Question: What's next for you?

Rachel Faulkner: I'm graduating in May, if I do everything right that is! *knocks on wood* I plan on moving to a bigger film market at some point this year, but I have not fully decided where yet. Most of the offers I receive are last minute, so there's really no telling where I will go, or where you'll see me next, but I'm completely okay with that. For me, uncertainty just means I will have to work that much harder to climb up the industry ladder and daddy knows I'm a hard worker.
