1 cup(s) dry rolled oats
1 cup(s) skim milk
1 small banana, thinly sliced
8 piece(s) pecans, chopped
1 Tbsp honey

Place oats in a small saucepan with 1½ cups boiling water. Add ½ tsp salt and place over a medium-low heat. Cook, stirring for 5 minutes, or until thick and most of the liquid has evaporated. Add the milk and cook for a further 2-3 minutes, or until thick and creamy.
Spoon porridge into bowls and top with sliced banana, pecans and honey.
Notes: This is also delicious with a dusting of ground cinnamon. You could also use maple syrup in place of honey if desired.
