Discovering Witchcraft

Discovering Witchcraft
Dear Fiona,

Hello. My name is Carly and I am 16 years old. I have been very interested about magic and witchcraft. I would really like to know is it true that you have to be born a witch to know what you are doing when casting spells? I was also wondering if I bought all of your books would I be able to become a true witch? My family thinks that I am weird because they do not believe. Thank you.

From Carly

Hi Carly,

I think it's fantastic that you are taking an interest in developing your spiritual life and are drawn to magic -it's a lot of fun and very rewarding in a deeper way too. You don't have to be born into a family of Witches (in this life anyway!) The fact that you are interested could indicate that there have been others interested in and practising magic and nature worshipping further back in your family tree.

Check out my book, 'Life's A Witch-A Handbook for Teen Witches", I think you will find it interesting and helpful. Books are a good way to start gaining information and knowledge, but the best way to uncover your Witchy powers is to believe in yourself and your personal journey in life. Others don't have to believe in or agree with what you do - just follow your heart and the Witches Oath:

TO KNOW - keep learning
TO WILL - magick works with the energy and belief you fuel it with
TO DARE - trust in yourself and your abilities
TO BE SILENT - don't talk about your interests with all and sundry, don't brag or boast, listen to your inner voice.
