Gabby with Project Futures

Gabrielle Bartlett has a face that many of us would easily recognise from the most recent season of Married at First Sight Australia. However, there is a lot more to Gabrielle than the reality TV show.

Gabrielle has dedicated herself to using the platform she has created through the show to shine a light on human trafficking around the world. Often a topic that is difficult to discuss, Gabrielle is not afraid to delve into the issues faced by women and girls in Cambodia and Australia that have been impacted by trafficking.

On 5 December 2018, Gabrielle teamed up with charity Project Futures to raise funds at ICAP's annual charity day. ICAP is a leading markets operator and provider of execution and information services. 100% of ICAP's revenue and 100% of their brokers' commissions goes directly to various charities around the world.

Charities celebrity ambassadors sell stocks over the phone and encourage extra funds to come in throughout the day.

Gabrielle's passion for the work of PROJECT FUTURES easily shone through as she grabbed jumped on the line and traded Energy stocks with the best.

"Reaching out to Project Futures felt like a very natural step for me… because looking at what this organisation does for women and children across Cambodia is so encouraging and inspiring. It was with such pleasure that I joined them for the ICAP Charity Day. It was not only a lot of fun, but a new experience! To see completely embrace the objectives of the event and leap in and get involved, was just fantastic to see and to be a part of! I was honoured to be a part of the Project Futures team." – Gabrielle Bartlett

"We relished being part of this global fundraising initiative. From the constant hum of the trade floor to the celebrities that supported, we are feeling hopeful that we have hit targets" CEO Clare Pearson

Project Futures was founded in 2009 to educate and empower people to take action against human trafficking and slavery. Project Futures strongly believes that no human being should ever belong to another, nor should they be exploited for profit or pleasure. Through the implementation of initiatives such as AFESIP Cambodia and The Salvation Army Safe House (Australia), Project Futures has been successful in improving the quality of life for women and children who were previously at the hands of their oppressors.
