Who Are You? What Are You?

You are a human being with a name given to you at birth which allows you to be recognised as somebody...You will have all the necessary bodily parts to determine your sex and you will grow into the human being you have been created to be.

Inside your body is a living energy which creates thought, growth, movement, actions, sound, feelings and emotions. Some would say that this is your inner self, your life force, soul or spirit.

To create the person you would like to be means getting in touch with this inner self. Some people will go through life completely unaware of their own spirituality and therefore lose out on the ability of helping themselves to learn to control what they want to do and be in their lifetime.

Sometimes you will hear people say "If only I had listened to myself" or "I knew I should have done that the first time".

This is the inner self or spirit trying to guide you to making the right decisions.

How do you tap in to this inner wisdom?

This can be done by using meditation. Find a quiet comfortable place, put on some calm, quiet, restful music, and create soft lighting by drawing the blinds, lighting a candle or putting on a small lamp with a low wattage globe.

Put all negative thoughts aside, take a few slow deep breaths and as you exhale use a word like relax, calm or peace.
Once you have settled, try to become aware of yourself, the weight of your body in the chair or seat, feel your pulse and become aware of your heartbeat. Speak your own name quietly and then relax.

Now try to focus on a person or problem that is troubling you at the same time telling yourself that you will not allow yourself to become emotionally attached to the person or problem by saying "I will remain calm and at peace while I am thinking about???"

Now ask yourself how is the best way I can talk to this person or resolve this problem with the best possible results for my own peace of mind and theirs?

Now allow yourself to remain still and calm for a while and ask for peace.

You will find that if you practice this as much as you can that your inner self or spirit will help you to find BETTER, more PEACEFUL and NICER WAYS to handle what life has in store for you in a more creative and less stressful manner.

You will find that you will gain more strength, confidence and energy to enjoy life to its fullest.
