To complement beautiful lingerie it's important to have skin that feels soft and smooth, is nourished and smells evocative. With a distinct new image, the collection has evolved and reveals a contemporary and classic fresh appearance and philosophy. Intuitive beauty allow for women to be who they want to be and supports them by offering choice of product dependant on how they feel.

Elle Macpherson The Body is inspired by Elle's personal philosophy of 'Intuitive Beauty' "I believe we are often told what to buy and who to be. My collection is based around trusting intuition and offering women choices depending on how they feel. It could be dependent on mood or activities. I ask 'How do you feel today?' and then choice follow naturally".

Elle brings this philosophy to life with three distinctive concepts designed to clarify women's choice in an overcrowded market place:
Bare- citrus scented can't-live-without everyday essentials.
Glow- patchouli scented skin enhancers to add shine, gloss and colour. Perfect for going out.
Self- lavender scented indulgent bathing products to clam the senses and truly relax? from 'me' time.

Each family in the collection was created to embrace the feminity and sensuality of women and offer a lifestyle-inspired choice for skincare. The new range comprises 12 beautifully scented products, plus two all year round mini collections that have been designed to fit into one of the three groups.

The new look defines the personality of the new collection- inspired by Elle's Australian heritage and holistic approach to life, it is finished in earthy tones of cream and warm grey featuring different coloured bands that make reference to Elle's signature wristbands and bracelets- personal mementos from life. The band detail is characterized by three complementary colours that refer to the three different ranges powder blue for Bare, lavender for Self and pale gold for Glow.

The Accidental Executive

Elle Macpherson is a prominent figure in business, fashion, film and television. She oversees one of the most well-known, and expanding brand names in lingerie, Elle Macpherson Intimates. More recently she diversified and created her own Body Products label, Elle Macpherson The Body. In March 2008 Elle signed a three-year global deal with Revlon as an ambassador and spokeswoman. More importantly, she is the mother of two sons and an ambassador for three global charitable organisations.

In 1989, Elle was approached by New Zealand based Bendon Group to promote their lingerie in Australia. Elle saw an opportunity to reverse Bendon's conventional strategy and suggested a licensing arrangement bearing her name wit deigns co-created with Bendon's experiences team. Elle Macpherson Intimates was born in 19990 and was launched in Australia and New Zealand with immediate success. While commonplace today, the idea was unorthodox at the time. There were fashion labels, there were models- the idea of a model with her own label was, in its small way, revolutionary.

In 2000, Elle and Bendon repeated their success by bringing the brand to the UK where it is available in Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nicks, and House of Fraser with Independents making up 337 doors in the UK.

In 2003 Elle Macpherson Intimates was launched in the Gulf States, Canada and in 450 doors in the US including Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Lord and Taylor, Bloomingales and Saks 5th Avenue. Elle is intimately involved in the creation of each collection and the advertising, marketing and strategy of the brand.

Elle appeared in the advertising campaigns until 2002 when she became Creative Director. Today she finds herself in meetings discussion product design, costing, gross margins, sell-through rates and all of the other related mechanics of creating and executing a successful licence/business.

Today Elle Macpherson Intimates is one of the most globally recognised fashion lingerie brands. Elle and her partners continuously strive for fit, quality and beauty. They have been rewarded for their willingness to both understand and anticipate the needs of female consumers.

Continuing the evolution, Elle expanded her brand in 2005, by partnering with Meller Beauty in the UK to extend it into bath and body category through the creation of Elle Macpherson The Body Products. The line, which has been disturbed through the Boot Pharmaceutical chain in the UK, generated 10 million pound in retail in its first year of trading.

Most recently, Elle and Meller beauty have expanded the business through a concept called 'Intuitive Beauty' which is a collection of three product lines that are designed to empower women, while simplifying their choices in an already crowded marker. Intuitive Beauty provides a mood and activity-dependent choice for skin care: for relaxation- Self for an evening out- Glow for everyday - Bare. It is all presented in a packaging system that was inspired by Elle's ever-present compendium of bracelets.

Elle Macpherson in Modeling and Acting
Her career began in 1982 with a TV commercial for TAB cola that rocketed her into the modeling world as the favourite 'Australian girl next door'. In 1986, Time Magazine pronounced her as 'The Big Elle' and ran a cover story on her career. Elle then appeared on a record six covers of the Sports Illustrated Annual Swimsuit Edition. She executively produced her own worldwide sell out calendars and 'making of' television prodgram in 1992, 1993 and 1994. She used this success to create 'Your Personal Best the Body' workout video that was voted the year's best by Billboard Magazine in 1995.

Elle also enjoyed two years of acting-starring in such films as Woody Allen's Alice, Siren's opposite Hugh Grant, Batman alongside George Clooney and The Edge with Anthony Hopkins and The Mirror Has Two Face with Barbra Streisand. She also guest starred in seven episodes of the NBC sitcom Friends.

Childhood
Born in 1964, Elle grew up in Sydney, Australia and is the eldest of four children. Elle's father was a successful businessman and her mother a trained nurse. While Elle considered following her step-father's footsteps into Law, her gap year was spent modeling to help pay for her University education. This unexpectedly turned into a 25-year career after Elle travelled to New York for a two-week work experience with Click Modeling Agency.

Achievements
Testament to her success are the various awards she has won, including the Fig Leaves Entrepreneur of the year award (UK) 2005 Glamour Magazine Style Icon Award (UK) 2006 Elle Magazine International Style Icon Award (Spain) 2006 Marie Claire Prix De La Mode 20 Years Business (UK) 2007Everywoman Outstanding Designer Award (UK) 2007 and most recently Femmys Lingerie Desinger of the year award (USA) 2008.

On the 14th of February 1998 Elle gave birth to son Arpad Flynn Alexander Busson in New York City and son Aurelious Cy Andrea Busson in London on the 4th of February 2003.
