Khaki Isn't Just A Colour, It's An Attitude!
Celebrate Steve Irwin Day and -Khaki it' at Australia Zoo!
Each year on November 15, Australia Zoo invites Wildlife Warriors from all over to celebrate Steve Irwin Day in honour of the extraordinary life lived by the one and only Crocodile Hunter.
Steve Irwin lived in his khakis and spent most of his life teaching people about nature. Whether he was tossing a venomous snake, wrangling a crocodile or rescuing an animal in need, he wanted people to fall in love with wildlife. So, to pay tribute to the greatest Wildlife Warrior that ever lived and his legacy, we're inviting everyone to -khaki it' at Australia Zoo or anywhere in the world this Steve Irwin Day!
Steve Irwin Day will encompass all the things Steve was most passionate about; family, wildlife conservation and fun! Those who -khaki it' for the celebration at the Zoo will receive a 10% discount from entry price, a great incentive to get everyone decked out in khaki on the day.
Australia Zoo will open early at 8am on the 15th with a free sausage sizzle as the day kicks off with ripper activities including a performance from 2013 X Factor Winner Dami Im, our giant croc slide, a caricature artist, animal clay workshops, pony rides and face painting! AFL superstar and Wildlife Warrior Daniel Merret will also join guests for the khaki celebration!
Traditional land owners, the Gubbi Gubbi, will perform throughout the day and visitors are sure to enjoy the smooth tunes from the Blenders. As always, Australia Zoo will be the ultimate hub for wildlife adventure with our epic Wildlife Warrior show, big saltwater crocodile feed and tonnes of other wildlife action!
All proceeds from Steve Irwin Day will go toward continuing Steve's legacy by contributing to Wildlife Warrior's conservation programs which Steve was so passionate about. He believed that if we could save one animal, we could save an entire species and together, we believe we can make his conservation dream a reality.
