Blemishes, Yellow Teeth & Blusher

Blemishes, Yellow Teeth & Blusher
This month, anything that glitters, shimmers and shines is all the go along with loads of shiny gloss. So if you fancy yourself a bit of an angel or want to get in on all the fun, then doll yourself up and glitz and glam away!

Being a teenager is the time to experiment with makeup - both in buying and in applying it. The great news is that you don't need to spend a lot of money. The most inexpensive lipsticks, eye shadows and nail polishes often come in the most creative colours. So now glamorous doesn't have to equal expensive!

The best teenage beauty is never harsh but pretty, fresh, fun and clean and is based on light and sheer colours like a gorgeous gloss and soft eye shadow shades. If you want to play with trendy colours, then ensure that you buy sheer versions of them so application is made easier. Another handy hint to keep in mind is you can also mix shadows with face powder to dilute them.

Always remember that less is definitely more!

BEAUTY BUSTERS!

A blemish appears - This can be a girl's worst nightmare especially when a hot date is on the horizon! The immediate solution is to transform the blemish into a beauty mark! Start by calming down the blemish by dabbing it with a gentle astringent on a clean cotton bud. This will help dry out excess oils from the skin and make the beauty mark stay in place for longer. To create your beauty mark, gently dot over the top with an eyebrow pencil - this is better than using an eyeliner pencil as it has a drier texture and so less likely to melt and smudge. Finally, set your beauty mark in place with a light dusting of loose powder.

Yellow Teeth - If your teeth have taken to looking like a camel's, don't despair! Take heart that yellow teeth tend to be stronger than their whiter counterparts. To make them appear whiter, avoid coral or brown-based lipsticks, as the warm colours will emphasise the yellow ones in your teeth. Clear pink or red shades will make them look much whiter in comparison. Now camel teeth can be a thing of the past!

Over-applied blusher - If you've forgotten the golden rule about building up your blusher slowly and gradually, you may need to tone down an over-enthusiastic application of colour. The quickest and easiest way is to dust a little loose powder over the top of the problem area, until you've reached a depth of blusher shade that you're happy with.

BEAUTY TIP OF THE MONTH!

For eyes that really sparkle, try outlining them just inside your lower eyelashes with a soft white cosmetic pencil.
