Gourmand World Cookbook Awards

Recently Lyndey Milan was named top Australian cookbook author in two categories of the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and topped it off last week with an International win, beating entries from 205 countries.

Lyndey took home the top Australian award for Best Culinary Travel Book in Australia and Best TV Series Cookbook in Australia for her wonderful cookbook Taste of Australia. She was then short-listed for the Best TV cookbook in English for the global awards in Yantai, China and was announced the global winner.

Lyndey Milan's Taste of Australia has been named The Best TV Series Cookbook in English in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. This is an extraordinary accolade considering the competition for the title. These awards, the only ones of their type as known as the Culinary Olympics, were started 20 years ago by Edouard Cointreau. They are held in a different country each year and Lyndey joined the creme de la crème of world food communicators at a five day food and wine conference and expo in Yantai.

Lyndey Milan's Taste of Australia was published by Hardie Grant Books in September 2014, RRP $39.95, and is available in all good bookstores and online at Cooked.

You can see Lyndey's TV series of the same name on LifeStyle FOOD on Sunday nights at 6.30pm, repeated the following Saturday at 8.30am (also screened on +2 two hours after each broadcast).
