Kio Kio Bodycare

For today's green goddess it's not enough for skincare products to be just eco-friendly. They must also perform as well as - or better than - any other product on the market, green or not.

With the introduction of Kio Kio into Australia, there's no longer any need to compromise. Kio Kio is an eco-friendly bodycare range developed using the indigenous ingredients of lush, green and unspoiled New Zealand.

Kio Kio luxury products meet the highest standards of performance demanded by today's eco-consumer, meaning she can feel good and gorgeous.

Kio Kio is setting new standards in eco-friendly beauty. The packaging is uncoated and uses water-based dyes to ensure full recyclability. The botanicals featured in the products are wild-harvested and only leaves that can be removed without damaging the plants are used.

Kio Kio uses no parabens, petroleum derivatives or by-products, propylene glycol, PEGS, silicones, GMOs, artificial colours, synthetic fillers, isothiazolinone, DEA or TEA, IBPC or harsh detergents or surfactants.

"Our mission at Kio Kio is to put the gorgeous into being green, because our unique range of luxurious bodycare is both sustainable and stunning," says company co-founder Fiona Terry.
"We know there are consumers for whom green is just not sexy, or appealing. We want to convince these consumers that using green products isn't all about what you give up - it can also be a huge bonus by providing better quality of life, improved product performance and beautiful, efficient, recyclable product design.
"Our products measure up very well against the world's most luxurious bodycare products, without commonly used chemicals and cheap, synthetic fillers."

The Kio Kio ranges include fragrant and soothing rich organic body creams, body lotions and soft body washes, a refreshing body mist and a triple milled creamy soap. Each range, in its chic, colour-coded package, has a South Pacific-inspired fragrance that is fresh, clean and uplifting.

Kio Kio Fragrances & Native Botanicals Feature:
Citrus Petal and Tarata (yellow) Tarata tree has sweet lemon-scented leaves & flowers that are used as potent scented healing oils.
Pacific Tiare and Ti Kauka (blue) Ti Kauka is naturally cleansing & nurturing. Traditionally used to heal skin, ancient people also regarded it as good luck & good for fertility.
Rainforest and Koromiko (green) Koromiko renews and smoothes stressed skin. It is used in ritual ceremonies & for healing skin complaints.
Frangipani and Purir (coral) Frangipani's rich, heady perfume infuses the air with its warm tropical notes. Puriri is a natural hormonal balancer and was also traditionally used to treat sore throats as well as common aches and pains.

Kio Kio is attracting a loyal following among discerning consumers in the United States, where it is stocked by uber-stylish retailer Anthropologie and the iconic Fred Segal's Apothia.

The president of Fred Segal in LA, Ron Robinson, said of the range: "We are always searching for the latest in skincare for Apothia and when finding Kio Kio we were delighted! The packaging and color was spot on, the product has a wonderful texture and the fragrances are outstanding. That it's made with a 'green consciousness' is icing on the cake."
