Body-washes usually contain ingredients such as sulphates and parabens that exacerbate conditions such as rosacea, dermatitis and eczema. And don't be fooled by the word organic. 'In fact the most commonly used -organically' certified foaming agent is Cocamidopropyl betaine and this is a known skin irritant," explains McDonough. Perfumes and essential oils are also common irritants, so the task at hand was to create a fragrant, foaming wash, that was also gentle and nourishing.

'That's when we discovered the benefits of coffee seed oil" says McDonough. COASETM (Coffea Arabica Seed Extract) is gathered from the green coffee bean plant using super-critical CO2 extraction. 'With the added benefit that it smells like a freshly brewed café latte!" COASETM acts as a super antioxidant, stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis, and improves moisture retention. Added to that are lashings of rich, soothing ingredients, such as aloe vera, jojoba, rosehip and avocado oils, to ensure skin is left cleansed, refreshed and glowing.
