Interview with Lorynn YorkQuestion: How would you describe The Carpenter's Daughter?
Lorynn York: It's a movie about every teenage girl's worst nightmare.
Question: What interested you about the script for The Carpenter's Daughter?
Lorynn York: I really liked how the lead character grew up so much by the end of the movie. And I thought it would be so much fun to play the mean girl.
Question: What was it like working with Brian Herzlinger?
Lorynn York: Well he is an extremely talented director. So, it was great working with him. He is so kind. I also loved that he gave me a lot of freedom on set to throw in some lines of my own! We played around with so many ideas. It was such a wonderful experience working with him.
Question: Could you relate to your character of Kalie, in anyway?
Lorynn York: Yes. As an actor I believe you always have to find ways to relate to your character. Even if your role is a horrible person, you must find the love in their heart. Nobody is 100% hate and evil. Kalie's hatred towards Natalie comes from jealousy and insecurities. I can relate to having insecurities, I think everybody can!
Question: What did you find difficult about filming The Carpenter's Daughter?
Lorynn York: It was hard to be mean to Sadie Calvano! She's the cutest thing.

Lorynn York: I learned how easy it was to play the mean girl. I scared myself a little bit!
Question: What were your thoughts, when you watch the film, on the big screen?
Lorynn York: I was filming another project during the premier! I still have to see it! Sadie and I are going to have a little viewing party. It will be my first time watching!
Question: What originally inspired your passion for acting?
Lorynn York: Being on stage as a dancer sparked my dream to never stop performing. Acting stemmed from that.
Question: If you could work with any actor/actress; who would you choose?
Lorynn York: Eddie Redmayne he is outstanding. I would love to watch him transform into a character. His work is just beautiful.
 Question: What's next, for you?
Lorynn York: I think, I know… but I cannot say! Something awesome is in the works for me right now and my fingers are in a constant state of crossed.
