Sunraysia introduces Australia's first readily available blueberry juice drink

As the colder months approach, the smorgasbord of fresh fruit available at the local supermarket will dwindle and some of the healthiest fruits like blueberries won't be seen again until the return of spring.

Blueberries have earned a reputation as an antioxidant powerhouse, with recent studies suggesting that blueberries can aid in protecting your brain and memory, improving your eyesight and looking after your heart .

Referred to as the 'brain berry' by nutritionists , Aussies are becoming increasingly aware of blueberries as one of nature's healthiest fruits. However, at $5 or $6 per punnet, blueberries are also one of the most expensive fruits on offer.

The Australian blueberry season will close at the end of April making fresh blueberries more expensive and harder to find on supermarket shelves as the colder months set in.

Just in time for autumn and winter, iconic Australian juice company Sunraysia is introducing the first blueberry juice drink to be widely available on supermarkets shelves across Australia.

Sunraysia's Blueberry Juice drink comes with 450 blueberries packed into every 750mL bottle making it a delicious way to help boost the intake of blueberries into your diet on a daily basis, especially during the colder months.

While the health benefits of fresh blueberries are widely known, emerging research has also indicated that drinking blueberry juice every day can improve memory by 40% in adults .

"Good health isn't just about taking care of our bodies anymore. It's more holistic and people are becoming more aware of the importance of keeping our brains healthy through diet, exercise and constant learning. Sunraysia's Blueberry juice drink will make it possible to get the brain-boosting power of blueberries into your diet year round," said Justin Presser, Group Managing Director of Sunraysia.

Available in 750mL glass bottles, Sunraysia Blueberry Juice drink contains 100% natural ingredients with no preservatives, no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.

A great accompaniment to breakfast or as a pick-me-up with a mid-afternoon snack, Sunraysia's Blueberry Juice drink is best enjoyed chilled, straight from the fridge.

Sunraysia's Blueberry Juice drink is available on the shelf in the juice aisle at Coles and selected IGA and Franklins supermarkets in metropolitan and regional locations around Australia at the recommended retail price of $5.49 for a 750ml bottle.

Product and nutritional information for Sunraysia's entire range of juices and drinks can be found on the Sunraysia website at www.sunraysia.com.
