This October Australians will for the first time be able to indulge in the most traditional of Italian pizzeria desserts – a chocolate pizza, all in the comfort of their own home, thanks to frozen pizza maker Dr. Oetker.

The Ristorante Dolce Al Cioccolato, which has taken Europe by storm this year and is one of two new flavours being launched by Dr. Oetker, is now landing on Australian shores and will be available nationally.

A sweet pizza is usually only made by the most traditional Italian pizzerias, prompting Dr. Oetker to make the move into the dessert domain and to give pizza lovers a way to satisfy their dessert craving at home.

This decadent addition is a chocolate version of Ristorante's signature thin and crispy crust, deliciously topped with gooey choc sauce, milk chocolate flakes, and dark and white chocolate chunks on a cocao dough base. Delicious on its own, just add fruit and ice-cream to make it even more scrumptious for an after dinner dessert or a summer treat.

Dr. Oetker Ristorante is simultaneously launching the Bianca Carne e Patata. This unique flavour includes crunchy potato chips, smokey ham, aromatic red onions and mozzarella cheese on a creamy white sauce.

It's the only frozen pizza available in Australia with a white sauce, made from rich sour cream, rather than the standard tomato base. Scrumptious on its own or the perfect side dish, the Bianca Carne e Patata is set to get tongues wagging when it hits the frozen aisle later this year.
