A British-American, action-thriller starring Jason Statham and directed by Steven Knight, Hummingbird shadows the life of a damaged, ex-Special Forces soldier trapped in London's criminal underworld.
Returning from a traumatic tour of duty in Afghanistan, Joey Jones returns to Lodnon to face another kind of war - living homeless after being on the run from a military court-martial.
After being brutally beaten by a gang of men, Joey attempts to break into an apartment and assume another man's identity, however is instead transformed into an avenging angel. Seeking aid from Sister Cristina, a young nun who works at an inner-city parish, Joey soon finds himself caught in the dark complexion of London's felonious gangland.
When Joe leanrs that one of his close friends was brutally murdered by city boy, Max Forrester, he risks everything for revenge, which leads him on a deadly path that promises to either destory him completely or send him on a journey of redemption.
Review: Hummingbird is yet another hold-your-breath thrilling action film from the one and only, Jason Statham. Also titled Redemption, overseas, this film combines a narrative of threads to provide a compelling darker film than we often expect from
Jason Statham. Sensitive and strong, Hummingbird will entice and impress all audiences.
