"TURN IT UP"
"Turn It Up" is the second single to be released from the Sydney based singer/songwriter Kyle, who has already connected radio and R&B/soul fans alike through his first single, "Beautiful Woman".
"Turn It Up" is something altogether different - a straight out, straight up club track which reveals the versatility and writing talent of this exciting new artist. Actually, that's not strictly true. Whilst Kyle may be "new" to some ears, he has been working with Warner Music for the past four years towards his debut album, ever since they snapped him up as a fresh faced youngster with a brilliant energy and gorgeous voice.
The track comes on strong from the get-go, with a heavy bass line and bigger beat accompanying Kyle's sultry vocals. Kyle says it's a track of which he's extremely proud. Kyle wrote this track with Israel, Jonas 'Jay Jay' Jeberg (Toni Braxton, Big Brovaz, Christina Milian), Gordon Chambers (Aretha Franklin, Beyonce, Angie Stone, Brandy, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan and Marc Anthony).
"It's everything I've always wanted to do with my music. I love the phat hip-hop kick, the drums and instrumentation, mixed with more contemporary R&B synths. It's a fusion I've always loved, that mix of live and synthetic sounds." The single also features 'Is It', another track Kyle co wrote as well as some killer re-mixes of 'Turn It Up'.
"Turn It Up" is definitely set to turn some heads, not the least of which for the dazzling video for the track made by the ARIA Award winning director Bart Borghesi (well-known for his work with The Androids, You Am I, Something For Kate and Killing Heidi amongst others).
It's a hot clip, as colourful as Kyle's vibrant personality, with a little tongue-in-cheek fun as the B-girls shake it wildly to the infectious beat. Already racing up the ARIA Club Charts, "Turn It Up" turns up the heat.
Kyle's debut album, (as yet untitled) will be released later this year.
