TALENT 100 HELPS HSC STUDENTS REALISE THEIR BIGGEST DREAMS WITH A UNIQUE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Three lucky high school students will have the opportunity to travel, ace their exams, and be mentored by the best in the business

Talent 100 (www.talent-100.com.au), the state of the art HSC learning centre for high school students, has announced an exciting new scholarship program that includes a trip overseas for three lucky students. The Richard Chua Make Your Talent Count Scholarship offers the combined benefit of full tuition for results-focused tutoring from year 10 to year 12; a mentorship program and real-world advice; an international trip to meet the Founder of Talent 100 in person and an orientation at three of the world's most prestigious universities (of their choice), at the successful completion of the HSC. The scholarship is based on attitude and aptitude, with a strong focus on making talent count. The value of each individual scholarship is more than $50,000.

'For many years I had resisted offering a scholarship – partly in response to the way in which scholarships are used in the tutoring industry today as a marketing ploy to buy ATARs of 99," said Richard Chua, Founder and CEO of Talent 100. 'This is a special kind of scholarship – an holistic approach that not only provides HSC tuition, but one that will provide our scholars with a unique opportunity to be mentored by a community of high achievers around the world. It not only prepares our students for the exams they will take in the short-term, but sets them up for a achieving their biggest dreams in the long-term by exposing them to the wealth of possibilities, along with the guidance to get them there."

Included in the mentorship team is Mr. Chua himself, who along with achieving a UAI of 100 in his own HSC, was recently named in Smart Company's -2013 Hot 30 under 30 Entrepreneurs' at number nine for his work with Talent 100. The organisation, with its vast network of game changers, is uniquely positioned to stretch and challenge students by exposing them to people who are impacting the world, while also helping them achieve the necessary ATAR for entering their chosen profession.

Students can register their interest on Talent 100's Facebook page from August onwards with a 100-word statement on how they want to make their talent count in future. The selection process includes an online questionnaire, an aptitude and attitude test, and an interview with the mentors.

This announcement comes shortly after Talent 100 launched its third state of the art learning centre in Hurstville to help students achieve the best possible results in their ATAR and studies. In less than four years of operation, Talent 100 has helped over 1,600 students make their talent count.

With centres in Hurstville, Chatswood and Epping, 30% of Talent 100 students have scored ATARs of over 99, in three years. The new Hurstville centre, designed by award winning customer experience company e2 (recipient of the Melbourne and Sydney Design awards in 2012); was built from a desire to create a third place/home for students to encourage learning and inspire thought leadership.
