BEAUTY BUSTERS!

Red-toned skin - can be toned down by smoothing your skin with a specialised green-tinted foundation. Apply with a light touch, just to the areas that really need it. The green pigment in the cream has the effect of cancelling out the red in your skin. However to avoid a ghostly glow, you'll need to apply a light coating of foundation on top and then set with a dusting of loose powder. This tip is also ideal for covering the occasional angry spot or blemish.

Disappearing foundation - If your foundation seems to sink into your skin on hot or damp days, then rethink how you apply it in the first place. The trick to help foundation last longer is to apply it to cool skin. Do this by holding a cold, damp facecloth onto your skin for a few moments, and then apply your foundation.

You can also store your foundation in the fridge to ensure it's cool when it goes on. Apply the foundation with a damp sponge, not your fingers, as the natural oils from them will leave a streaky finish on your skin. Finally set with a light dusting of loose powder.

BATHROOM ESSENTIALS

The following beauty products are guaranteed to get you feeling and looking healthy from top to toe.

SOAPS & CLEANSING BARS

These are a cheap and effective way of cleansing your body. If you find them too drying, choose ones that contain moisturizers to minimize these effects. Most people can use ordinary soaps and moisturisers without any problem. However if you have particularly dry or sensitive skin, opt for the pH-balanced variety.

SHOWER GELS & BUBBLE BATHS

These are mild detergents that help cleanse your body while you soak in the water. There are hundreds of varieties to choose from. If you find them too harsh for your skin, look for the ones that offer 2-in-1 benefits - these contain moisturizers as well, to soothe your skin.

SPONGES & WASHCLOTHS

These are useful for lathering up soaps and gels on your skin, and ridding dirt and grime from your body.

BATH OILS

These are a wonderful beauty luxury for those with dry skin.

FABULOUS FEET

· Never leave nail polish on for a long period of time, as it will lead to discolouration of your toes.

· Massage cream into your feet regularly each night before going to bed.

· Avoid painting on unfiled toes as this makes your feet appear unhealthy.

· Take the time to care for your feet, as they are the most worked part of your body.

FIGHTING THE FRIZZIES

Are you sick of that flyaway hair? Now you don't have to suffer with the frizzies any longer! Arm yourself with a moisturising shampoo and conditioner, a flat paddle brush and a tiny amount of body moisturiser.

Instead of rubbing your hair dry, try the squeezing method.

Finally wash it less often so that your scalp's natural oils have time to help control your mane.

BEAUTY TIP OF THE MONTH!

Never apply your makeup before blow-drying your hair as the heat from the dryer can make you perspire and cause your makeup to smudge.
