Tina is well known for keeping a low profile, very becoming in this day and age. The blonde-haired, hazel-eyed diva comes from Essex, England and is 25 years of age. Date of Birth, not known exactly.
Tina has worked as a hairdresser/stylist and then made a move into modelling.
At the age of 20 she found herself in a Rolling Stone's video. Tina explains how rude Mick Jagger was, "He walked past me on the set and elbowed me,"she claims, "so I pushed him back! Then I ran off and hid in case he wanted to sack me from the video!"
Her career reached a turning point when she replaced a singer in a fashion show. The lady in charge of organising the show was rather put out, so asked if any of the models could sing. Brave Tina stepped forward. After receiving a fabulous response from the 1000+ people in the audience, her singing career was on it's way.
Moaning that she only did modelling for a year because she needed the money, finding her feet in the music industry has been a great success for Tina.
Tina loves to cook..Thai food is her speciality.
Tina doesn't particularly think the term "diva" is an appropriate one for her, "I find compliments hard to accept. I suppose a Diva is someone who is headstrong and doesn't take no for an answer, that's a Diva. The big, strong female singers are being called Divas so I should take it as a compliment".
Tina really lucked out with her music career. Fortunately for Tina someone saw her tape and her picture in a bin in one of the studio's her demo tape had been sent to and came to her rescue! Tina won a vocal test at PWL studios and was snapped up. Pete Waterman claims, "Tina was the only one for the job, with her great looks and killer voice".
With hundreds of live performances across Britain plus lots of TV and radio, she also performs in lots of clubs, which happens to be her favourite aspect of the music business. Her first single called "Killin' Time" was released in 1997 and was a hit all over Europe.
Tina loves her life in the music industry but this lifestyle of glamour and fame is not without its scary moments, "I was in Puerto Rico with Sash to perform the single Pray," Tina says, "when Hurricane George hit the island. We had to rush to the airport to get the last plane out before they closed the island.
Tina has also suffered the embarrassment of a not so elegant entrance on stage when she was appearing with Sash!. "I came running out on to the stage to make a big entrance, but I slipped and slid across the floor on my bum! It was so embarrassing," she says.
Well Tina certainly gets the GIRL nod of approval, appearing not only like a gorgeous gal but also talented and down to earth to boot!
