Summer Holidays Under 18 Dance Party

What would school holidays & summer be without the coolest (under 18) dance party... that’s how the story of Dan’s Apartment starts...

Just to recap where it all started....my mates and I were just hangin’ around my garage (which we suitably call Dan’s Apartment) talking about holding a dance party for our friends in the garage, we could charge an entry fee and get a cool DJ 'reality check'. I figured that my parents would NOT be too cool with that nor the neighbours.

So we rang our good friends at UN Sydney, asked for their wisdom, guidance and help to hook us up with the hottest line-up possible...what a way to start! After lots of meetings, the next thing we knew our first party was on it’s way... we held our first event on Wednesday 4 October @ The Forum, The Entertainment Quarter. What would a first event be without a super special guest for the night...can you believe we managed to score...Nathan from MTV - no shit!

We wanted to create the most wicked party that is totally about the music, a truly pumping club for under 18’s delivering exactly what we know all our friends wanted, not some older bunch of dudes telling us what they think we want. It was an epic night which totally went off, the hottest line-up, the coolest dude - Nathan from MTV, some major shakin’ of that booty, loads of giveaways, and lots of punters...we also ran a DJ competition featuring 3 highly talented guys with the winner walking away with loads of prizes.

We had grand illusions that after our first party we will be called "the hottest new thing", those VIP invitations will start pumping through the mail, the phone will constantly be ringing BUT no matter what happened we wanted everyone to know that we were already making plans to blow your mind with our next party... this is no ONE NIGHT STAND! We received the best write up in The Wentworth Courier the following week on how our parties are run with safety being our number priority!

Our next events will be held January 15 @ The Forum, The Entertainment Quarter (formerly Fox Studios) and after huge demands from the Northern Beaches we are running an event January 23 @ Harbord Diggers featuring Captain Kirk, Charlie Brown, Lenno and MC Sesh.

We will be donating 10% of all tickets sales to CanTeen; an Australian organisation for young people living with cancer. At Dan’s Apartment we firmly believe in giving back to the community and building awareness with youth on the importance of being actively involved in charities that affect young people.
