Dear Mish,

I would like to find out how I can get a tight butt. Everything else about me is nice and toned except my butt! Please Help!

Dear Kim,

The key to a tight butt is the right kinds of exercises. One of the best things for this area is to do lunges. All you need to do is simply pretend you are going to kneel forward. Simply put out your left foot as though you are going to kneel on the floor with your right knee (try to keep your knee at right angles) but instead of staying in the kneeling position, push off the ground with your left foot, finishing upright in standing position again. Then repeat with the right foot forward. Try doing 20 (10 each leg) then work up to 20 each side.

Once you have become a pro at these lunges you can then move into holding weights while lunging. Grab a couple of books or if you have some small weights or even two cans of soup, and do lunges while holding these.

Lunges are great exercises for your butt – so have a go!
