ABOUT THE AUTHORS
JIM STYNES started out as a Gaelic footballer, moving to Melbourne in 1984 to play AFL and winning the 1991 Brownlow Medal. In 1994 he co-founded the Reach Foundation, one of the most influential youth-focused organisations in the country. He has been a member of several federal youth advisory boards.
DR JON CARNEGIE worked as a teacher before pursuing a writing career. He runs highly successful self-development workshops at both primary and secondary school levels. He is director of Carnegie Education and has established his own school in Melbourne. In 2000 he brought Nelson Mandela to Australia, and in 2005 was the only Australian delegate at the International Boys' School Coalition.
Jim and Jon also co-authored the best-selling Heroes (2003).
