Born in Croatia, fashion designer Karla Spetic spent her early childhood in the beautiful town of Dubrovnik before up and leaving in 1993 tostart a new life in Australia. Although Karla has been calling Australia home ever since, Karla'swork is very much influenced by the complexity, beauty and uniqueness of her city of birth.

Having graduated in 2005 from the renowned East Sydney Fashion Design Studio, Karla's involvement in the fashion industry was formalised and set in stone with the launch of her self-titled label Karla Spetic in 2006.

Further to launching the label, Karla collaborated with 5 other fashion design graduates to set up a coveted and inspiring retail store aptly named "The Graduate Store" inthe historical Strand Arcade in Sydney's CBD.

Karla Spetic´ designs can best be described as inspiring, personal and bold with creations that combine classical ideals and historic beauty. Her creations are dappled with notionsof independence, an inquisitive nature and an element of femininity.

The label is visually striking in design and is a tribute to quality and innovation. Karlauses tailoring techniques to sculpt distinct shapes whilst emphasising the feminine silhouette. Her attention to detail is scrupulous, and it's this objective of perfection that is set to ensure that Karla Spetic´ has what it takes to secure her place within the industry.
