The Fashion Forecast from London

The Fashion Forecast from London
I'm in one of the fashion capitals of the world and what can I say, I'm disappointed! Oz is not far behind fashion at all; in fact I'm tempted to say we are several steps ahead. There are some quirky fashions that I think will make it home, so have a look at the London "it" list I've compiled and see if there's a fad to tickle your fancy.

London Fashion "It" List

- Denim skirts and jackets
- Diesel trainers

- Atomic Kitten style highlights in the hair

- 50's inspired fashion - full skirted dresses and skirts, retro sunglasses, kitten heels, twin sets and waitress style shirts.

- Flat, wedge, and stiletto heeled boots

- Belts - be they thick, skinny, multicoloured elastic with plastic or diamante clasps, camouflage eyelet canvas, studded or low slung.

Trend prediction for OZ: a fabric belt (a-la Sarah Jessica Parker) with a rosette attached, in white with either navy, red, pink or multi coloured - very popular here.

Australian fashion - Rebecca Davies (Bare) and Collette Dinnigan are huge with the stars.

- Runching and tie shoulder tops.

- Sequins on everything- Military inspired detailing such as epaulettes on shoulders and camouflage print

- Absolutely everything 80's including pink lurex leg warmers and off-the-shoulder windcheaters.

- Americana and Britannica fever - the union jack and stars and stripes on everything from brooches, necklaces, bags, shoes, and tops.

- Clutch bags in retro inspired prints and fabrics.

- Coloured lense sunnies with diamante logos on side (such as Chanels interlocking C's).

- Fluoro plastic jewellery.

- Rachael
