Interview:1. How did it feel to hear your song played all over the airwaves?
It felt great, it was almost like a relief knowing that my music is finally being exposed to the public.

2. Did you have any pre-conceived ideas about the music industry?
Yes, I've been around quite a bit, and I've worked with alot of people so I assumed many things about the industry. Before I actually got into the music industry, there were ideas and concepts I had in mind that I know would change producers and executive minds about working with me ya know? Its all about what you have to offer to the game once you are in.

3. Do you write your own songs? What's your inspiration?
Oh yeah, as a hip hop artist u always gotta write your own material, your not considered an artist if you don't. My inspirations is writing poetry and listening to new artist. I swear everytime I listen to a new artist on the radio, whether its hip hop or anything else; they always inspire me to become more of who I am.

4. What music/artists do you listen to when you are not playing your own?
Well rigtht now I'm listening to Mike Jones, I think his stuff is off the hook right now. I appreciate artist like him who come out with an aggressive attitude. Also I'm listening to Mr. Fab, he's a Bay Area artist too thats about to come up, I like his style and his personality that he brings out in his music.

5. What's next? Tour/Album/Single?
Hopefully, a tour, I just released my debut album "Shut Up, Listen." which will be in stores this summer, but if you like to buy it now, its on my label's website which is www.squadmusicgroup.com.

6. Was there a moment you contemplated throwing in the towel?
Not at all, I always keep my head up high and never want to quit. Even if a show is cancelled or a studio session has been post poned, I still figure out something else to do that will keep me busy and wanting to do this.

7. Do you prefer performing live or recording?
I love recording, in the studio when its just me and the mic, I feel I can let my soul loose and talk about anything. Performing live is pretty fun, I just had a show yesterday in Berkeley, the fans were great, and the crew were on top of everything, performances always give an artist their time to understand how the fans appreciate their music.

8. What/who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?
Many things and many people. School was the first inspiration. I was a major in Communications at the University of San Francisco. I really learned what writing and making speeches were all about, and it inspired me to write in depth about different concepts in life. E-40, another Bay Area artist, and Eminem were definitly other inspirations in my life. Once i saw them on stage and learned how they felt about Hip Hop, I really dug it and wanted to jump on the same bandwagon their on ya know?

9. What is the biggest challenge you have faced along the way to your musical success?
I'd say recording with other artist. Some Hip Hop artist didn't want to work with me because I am a female. And mostly is a male game. When I was trying to get a few artist on one of my tracks off my album, they found out I was a female and didn't want to participate anymore because i felt I couldn't "bring it" lol but it's okay i'm here for the challenge and always ready!

10. What's a typical day like?
A day for me is pretty busy. In the morning i'm always in the gym, gotta stay fit :) then I'm inthe studio always making songs, mixtapes or writing new material. Later on in the day, I catch up with my interviews, perform at shows and networking with others in the industry. I enjoy listening to what other people have to offer and speaking to fans is the best!

11. What has been your favorite part of becoming a music artist?
Definitly getting the feedback from fans and knowing that I do have a fanbase out there, which are people who love and appreciate lyricisim in my music. I aslo enjoy working with other artist that have the same passion that I do, which is making good quality music that has thought.

12. If you could collaborate with another artist, who would it be?
Definitly Eminem, Just Blaze, Kanye West and Ludacris. I think they are really talented artist and that they bring something special to the hip hop game.

13. Are you single? What do you look for in a partner?
Yes I'm single, I'm too busy to have a partner right now, I actually can't see myself being with one until i'm satisfied where I want to be in my career ya know? I look for many things in a partner, commitment, personality, mind, heart, soul...lol the list goes on.
