Michael Sun Lee Fuller House Interview

Michael plays Harry Takayama, who you'll recall was Stephanie's boyfriend (they even got fake-married in an episode of 'Full House") as tots, all grown-up. The character appeared in the second and third season of the original series and returns, all these years later, for the new spin-off Fuller House.


Question: Why did you want to join the Fuller House cast?

Michael Sun Lee: It is an iconic show with love able-characters and funny situations.


Question: How did you go about getting involved in Fuller House?

Michael Sun Lee: I was asked by the Casting Dept. to audition for the role of Adult "Harry Takayama".


Question: What has been the best part about filming for Fuller House?

Michael Sun Lee: Working with the fabulous cast and crew in front of a live studio audience.


Question: Who did you work with, on the set of Fuller House?

Michael Sun Lee: John Stamos, Jodi Sweetin, Lori Loughlin, Candace Cameron-Bure, Andrea Barber, Juan Pablo DiPace, John Brotherton, and Elias Harger! What a treat to meet them all including Ashley Liao, Michael Campion, Soni Nicole Bringas

Question: What has it been the most difficult part about playing the character of Harry?

Michael Sun Lee: Letting people know that I am NOT the same actor who played "Harry" as a child.


Question: Did you re-watch Full House episodes prior to beginning filming of Fuller House?

Michael Sun Lee: Yes. Yes I did it for character reference.


Question: What are your memories of watching Full House, many years ago?

Michael Sun Lee: Happy memories of the many laughs, catch phrases and awesome them song!


Question: What has been your favourite character to play, to date?

Michael Sun Lee: Seriously. "Harry Takayama" has been my favourite to date.


Question: What originally inspired your passion for acting?
Michael Sun Lee: The basic need for self expression.


Question: What's next, for you?

Michael Sun Lee: Currently in a Horror Anthology Movie called "Holidays" with Seth Green.

And a Fantastic Animated Movie Called "Kubo And The Two Strings" by Laika Studios coming out this august with Matthew McConaughey, Charlize Theron, Ralph Feinnes, Rooney Mara, Art Parkinson and George Takei!
